Madhur Bhandarkar's Heroine is in talks of Bollywood towns however there are only decent expectations from the
music album of the movie as the audiences have observed last of his movies to have decent music traditionally.
This time Salim-Sulaiman has teamed up with Madhur Bhandarkar once again and thus you can expect good music from the album of Heroine.
The movie Heroine starts with the number that had appeared in news many a times titled 'Halkat Jawani'. This one is a desi outing with contemporary style of 70s and 80s in the perfect voice of Sunidhi Chauhan. The lyrics here are given by Niranjan Iyengar and this one appears to be in the mode of Sheila and Munni without moving towards vulgarity. This one is a perky number that would appear audiences on the screen.
The next song is a complete turnaround with the track 'Saaiyaan'. This song takes the album into a completely different zone and has a sufi base to it. Here behind the mike voice is of Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and this outing would remind you of soft numbers from 70s. This song is a wonderful one to hear and would surely compel repeated hearing.
Next to appear in this album is the 'Chicago/Moulin Rouge' inspired song titled 'Main Heroine Hoon'. This one is sung by Aditi Singh Sharma. This song talks about the life of a heroine and this one is a perfect western inspired composition by the duo composers. This one seems to be a situational track and thus would create appeal in the movie.
'Khwahishein' begins with piano that would remind you of the outing created by Salim-Sulaiman for the movie Fashion. This one begins with crooning of Shreya Ghoshal and gets stronger as it moves further. The song undertones slight darkness here with the proceedings and thus seem to encounter some state of dilemma faced by the lead character of the movie. The effect of this song is diluted in the end with Indian treatment.
Neelesh Mishra written 'Tujhpe Fida' song in the movie is a peppy number created by Salim-Sulaiman. This one picks up the tone really well as it proceeds further. Some of the middle portions sound really well here. Benny Dayal and Shradha Pandit together are behind the mike here and they suit well for this song. This song can create magic with some remix sound added when played in clubs and parties. This one is however a romantic number giving a happy end to the music album of the movie.
Music album of Heroine suits well the expectation of audiences. There are a couple of songs in the album that would well with the situations in the movie. The composers Salim-Sulaiman here have done a perfect job with wonderful lyrics given for each track of the album. This 20 minutes composition would go well with the narrative of this Madhur Bhandarkar movie.
