Vashnu Bhagnani to pay Rs. 5 crores for record breaking Gangnam Style!

It is quite a challenging task for Jackky Bhagnani to manage the famous record breaking dance on South Korean anthem Gangnam Style for his upcoming movie Rangrezz. Acquiring the rights for this dance step was not an easy task however it took months for Vashu Bhagnani to negotiate on getting rights for it.

The amount paid by Vashu Bhagnani for the remake of this track’s desi version is not revealed but reports are that producer Vashu has paid an amount around Rs. 5 crore to gain the rights of Gangnam song for his movie which would feature his son Jaccky’s dance on the track.

Also it is reported that the makers are not allowed to make any changes in the track while Psy wished to see dance movements of Jackky to pass for this track. A reliable industry source informs ‘I was quite keen on getting rights for this song but when I heard about negotiation going on with Vashuji, the amount he was willing to pay was quite high and exceeded my budget. However 3 original Gangnam style songs could be recorded in India at the price that he paid. Also Jackky would be needed to prove his dancing style and skills for this song to get passing marks. Psy want to make sure that the dancer is well aware of what he would be doing in this song.’

Psy gave his approval for Jackky after watching his track ‘Party Abhi Baaki Hai’ for the movie F.A.L.T.U. Vashu reveals ‘Acquiring rights for this song was not an easy thing to do. It took weeks of back and forth emails and contact between both the parties. There were many questions asked and answered regarding use of this track and they wanted to watch the dancer before giving their nod for this deal.’

He reveals that all these efforts were worth it and now we have arranged for special screening of this movie Rangrezz for family and friends on evening of Sunday. He further adds ‘I simply love Jackky for taking this movie steps ahead.’
