Karan Johar was issued a notice by Bombay High Court through Income Tax Department which claimed that this moviemaker has not declared Rs. 2 crores profit which he earned back in the year 2006 from his movie Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna.
A notice was issued back in March 2012 by the assistant commissioner of I.T. Circle 31 under IT Act section 140 to re-open assessment for this filmmaker for year 2006-2007. It was then felt that Karan had not declared profit of Rs. 2 crores. It was felt that complete details on income, expense and profit were not provided by filmmaker for his movie Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna.
Karan Johar has now moved to High Court dismissing all these allegations. This case will be heard on March 6th.
