Monojoy Mukherjee is the son of late Joy Mukherjee. He recently got an old bill of his father from Film Centre and thereby discovered an unreleased movie of his father titled Love In Bombay. This movie was made somewhere in 1971 but could not release for some reason.
Other than Joy Mukherjee himself, this movie star Waheeda Rehman, Rehman, Kishore Kumar and Ashok Kumar in lead roles. The major highlight of this movie is the chartbuster track titled 'Maaza Naav Ganpat Rao'. This track was composed by Shankar-Jaikishen and was sung and enacted by late Kishore Kumar.
Monojoy while talking about the restoration of this movie said that they have worked 10 hours a day over last 6 months for high definition correction of each frame. Also they have worked on the sound of this movie for last three months. The entire family of Joy Mukherjee including his sons Monojoy, Sujoy, daughter Simran and wife are quite confident about releAsing this movie under Joy Mukherjee’s banner.
There are reports that this movie will be released on 24th February on the birthday of Joy Mukherjee.
