Ek Thi Daayan starring Emraan Hashmi is the story that is themed on a short story initially written by Mukul Sharma. This story was decided to be converted in to a complete movie by Vishal Bhardwaj and Mukul Sharma expanded this short story in to a complete big novel for screenplay of this movie.
The screenplay was when written, this gave birth to a brand new writing and now there is confusion for credit of script for this movie. Director of the movie, Vishal Bhardwaj says ‘There is a lot of confusion as the story was a short one in the beginning which was later converted in to a novel by Mukul Sharma. Then I have worked to make it script of the movie which has now become a completely new thing.’
Vishal says that both Mukul and himself have worked together for script of this movie closely and now they have no track of which part belongs to whom. ‘The novel and script will have both our names as it has all turned in to a confusion and we have no idea which part was given by whom.’
This movie is directed by Kannan Iyer and will be releAsing on April 18th. It features three female leads including Kalki Koechlin, Konkona and Huma Qureshi
