Barfi starring Ranbir and Priyanka has been released and praised all around with a bang and latest development about this movie is that it has been nominated to officially enter to the Oscars for the Best Foreign Language Film category.
The decision was taken at the Film Federation of India meeting which was held yesterday night and this movie stand out among 19 other movies as the India's official entry to the Oscar Awards. Priyanka shared this delightful news with complete excitement on twitter.
Managing Director of Studios, Disney UTV, Siddharth Roy Kapur while talking about this news said that they are quite honored that the movie Barfi has been selected for representation of India in Oscars Academy Awards 2013.
This has given them immense satisfaction and happiness that the audiences locally and internationally have loved their work so much.
He further said that this is quite proud moment for them as this one would be 4th movie from UTV Films in the last seven years to have been selected as India's representative in Oscars. Earlier were Rang De Basanti, Harishchandrachi Factory and Peepli Live.
