The next project of director Nagesh Kukunoor is Laxmi but this movie is now delayed for the producer of the movie to have backed out of this project. Thus the future of this movie is not in financial layback. This movie is said to deal with issues of human trafficking.
A source close to the team says that this movie was to hit the floors in March and the cast is along with location has been finalized long ago. However there is now endless wait since then. Many of the members of the crew have left after being tired of waiting for the movie to begin. Although it is told that the delay is due to back surgery of Nagesh however the actual reason behind the delay is the producer of the movie who has left to find another project.
The reason behind it is told that some of Nagesh's last movies have not done well on the box office and thus no producer wishes to invest in his projects. Thus there are chances that this movie may go on shelf because of financial issues.
Another movie of Nagesh waiting to be released since last 2 years is Yeh Hausla which is in need of a distributor. We hope that he finds a producer soon.
