Rimi Sen is a hot and sexy Indian actress and model. She was born in Kolkata located in west of Bengal on 21st September 1981. Virgo is her zodiac sign. She has not tied a knot of marriage yet and enjoying her life as single. In 1998, Rimi started her early education from Bidya Bharati Girls High School. She graduated in Commerce from Kolkata University. Her born name is Shubhomitra Sen. As there are many Sens in the film industry that’s why she changed her name to Rimi only just to stand out from the crowd of Sens.

Rimi Sen always wanted to be an actress. Although she was not supported well by any of her family members except grandfather to join this profession, still her mother accompany her to Mumbai. After struggling really hard she got few commercial campaigns including the Coke Advertisement. She appeared in this Ad with the super star Amir Khan, the ad went into her favor and she gained a lot of recognition. After this breakthrough success she was constantly being approached for various films. She made her debut in the film industry by the comedy based movie Hungama which was released in 2003 directed by Priyadarshan. The main stars of the film were Paresh Rawal, Akshay Khanna and Aftab Shivdasani. The film generated a great amount of revenue at the box office. After Hungama Rimi gave another big hit of the year, Dhoom, released in 2004. She was casted as a wife of Abhishek Bachan. The film made record revenue at the box office and her acting was truly appreciated. She maintained the record of her hit films further and worked in Garam Masala in 2005. In 2006, her film Golmaal was released, which again turned to be a hit film of her career. With the immense liking of Dhoom, its sequel Dhoom 2 was released in 2006. Rimii Sen was also part of the cast in dhoom 2. She also worked with John Abraham and Neil Nitin Mukesh in the film Jhonny Gaddaar. She also worked in various other movies that include Baghban, Kyun ki, Deewanay hue Pagal, Phir Hera Pheri. Beside hindi films she has also worked in Bengali and Telugu films. Swapner Din is one of her Bengali film in which she performed the role of Ameena. Similarly Andaarivadu is the Telugu film in which she played the character of swetha.

Rimi favourite color is Black.She is also been endorsed as a brand ambassador of Country Club India Ltd. Other than acting, she spend her free time doing shopping and getting new dresses. She is Brand conscious person. Her favourite brands are DKNY, D&G, and Mango. She loves to wear western clothes because they are more comfortable. She does not follow the style, but believes in making own style icon. She always remains very selective in choosing things for her. She is very fond of collecting different type of motor cars and bought a sporty BMW for her personal use. Rimmi was also hooked up in many controversial stories. She was linked with the actor Karan Nath who is a son of the famous producer Riku Rakesh Nath. Rimmi confirmed in response of this rumour that she does not have any relationship with Karan and she hardly knows him. In 2006, she was highly criticized by anti racism and human rights organization for making a bold racist comment on the Black African people in an online interview. Though she did not apologize for her comments.Rimi Sen always wanted to be a center of attention and has successfully managed to make her debut in Bollywood film industry.
